Introduction to PHP and CMS

Topic in Detail: This is my first post on PHP so it is just an introduction about PHP, its CMS and my view for technology, its may not absolute so dont mind as everyone has its own understanding, views and analyzation.

PHP (HyperText PreProcessor / Personal Home Page), Its a Server Side Scripting Language and Open Source Technology. PHP is in demand after the version PHP5 as before that it didn’t support OOPS Terminology. PHP5 support OOPS Terminology too and support many plug-ins and various databases. As PHP is an Open Source Technology it got a lot appreciation and people switched on PHP in a short time.

It is very easy to setup for anyone how knows windows just double click after the WAMP and XAMPP package. WAMP (Windows Apache, MySql, PHP, Perl), XAMPP (All Apache, MySql, PHP, Perl) all are Open Source and Free.

In Present Time as per my concern career in Cloud Computing Technology , Open Source Technology and Mobile Application Development is very good, because it is growing rapidly and SAP and Java is forever but not for fresher.

If you work on PHP there is a dependency if you are not a website designer so to work independently you should have to have the knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript is must and Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash is additional advantage.

PHP has lots of CMS (Content Management System), by using this you can develop your Website or Application easily by saving a lot of time with very less efforts.

So using CMS will keep you safe if you don’t have the knowledge of website designing. What you need just select a free or paid template and customize that as per your requirement.

Using CMS saves your time more than 60% as you don’t need to worry about designing and security and login. All the work you can get with the template with an advanced control panel.

Many companies are using CMS as it is also Open Source Technology and many companies and individuals are dedicated to provide the templates which supports to the CMS and earning very good amount for that.

There are many CMS available in market but the mainly used CMS are Joomla, Drupal, WordPress, Magento, CakePHP, CodeIgniterm, PHPNuke, OSCommerce which i have heard till date.

So you have many choices to move your career on the sky.

Use of Batch / Schedule Apex in SalesForce

Topic In Detail: When you want to schedule some apex code at some particular time within a period of time not on some event occurance.

Batch apex is like schedule apex, if you want to run a specific code to achieve some task related to

maintenance of your Organization data for some specific purpose so, you can schedule that code to run on weekly or monthly basis, you can choose the days on which you want to schedule you apex code. you can specify the period of time Start-End Date and the time too. To schedule the apex, we have the option in Setup -> Apex Classes -> Schedule Apex

Clicking on this button will redirect to you on a screen

You have to enter your job name then select the apex code you want to schedule and the time event on which you want to schedule this code. The code is scheduled.

So this way, you can schedule any apex code in your organization for your application.

Exception : Can't use Setup and Non-Setup DML Operation in same Context

Topic In Detail: We face this situation sometime when we want to use DML opertaion in SetUp Object(like user) and Contact (like Contact or any custom Object) as well. but that we got this error.

Solution:

Use Future class to resolve this Exception.

What is Future Class:

This is a class with added syntax(@future) like we do in testclass (@isTest), and in this future class u can use DML exception on any one of them.
So it will add the DML in your batch process / process heap and will execute this DML after some time.

so this way u can change the context of both of them and resolve this issue.

Ineternet Explorer Rendering issues

Topic In Detail: When we render different-diffrent sections or some particular area on click of some event or some event. all functionality is working fine on all browser but not on IE 6 or upper version.

Solution: -

Try to avoid the static content and dynamic content in the same container like table or block or outputpanel.
Don't refresh the complete page in some event.

Put the content in some section which you want to render and if you are using two outputpanel to render based on some flag, then place all of them to render on a parent outpanel to reRender.

This way, you can solve the rendering issues in IE.

OutputPanel Rendering Issues:

Query In Detail: If you are trying to use rendered and reRender property of some container like outputpanel, pageblock or pageblocksection and you are finding some issues

Solution: -

Keep one thing in your mind while developing some application and at time of developing some VisualForce Page, that you cant use reRender property of some container if you rendering that section based on some flag or condition.

So what u should do to resolve that issue, just place that container on some parent container and reRender that parent container so that the particular parent container will get refreshed on that particular event and you child container will set with the updated values.
